To know an introvert is to love them-even if it means coaxing them out of the house to see them.

Being good at observation and being selective may make introverts look hard to buy. But this is not necessarily the case, says Elaine Rodino, a psychologist and researcher at the Pennsylvania Psychological Association. When shopping for introverts or more introverted people, it’s best to be personalized.

"The things that'introverts' might like can be scattered in a long continuum," Rodino said. "Some introverts may have social anxiety and feel most comfortable in small groups, small gatherings, etc. They prefer one-on-one [time] and get lost in a group of very talkative people. I always think you really are You need to consider the person you gave the gift, not yourself."

Pauline Wallin, a practicing psychologist in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, told the Huffington Post, “Introversion is not the same as being shy or quiet. Introverts are just more private... and tell them What you say and what you say to whom is selective."

We asked about the cancellation plan, HuffPost’s Facebook community who claims to be introverts, what their ideal gift is, or share the best gift they’ve received in the past.

Check out the list of comfort and useful items below. No matter what you buy, just make sure you also consider how to give gifts. As Kim Powers Smith pointed out in Cancelled Plans, "You can give me anything, as long as I don't have to open it in front of the audience."
