Meal kits are the best thing since sliced bread. You never again have to worry about planning ahead for dinner or struggle to carry in all your groceries in one trip. However, as a vegetarian, it can be tough to weed out which meal kit services are the best for your kitchen.

The ideal meal kit for vegetarians will have a variety of vegetarian recipes and flexibility to change up non-vegetarian offerings. Does the kit allow substitutions? Does it clearly label vegetarian recipes? We've researched the top vegetarian meal kits (and pulled from our editors' first-hand testing experience) to compile a list of the best meal kit delivery services with vegetarian options.

We named Sunbasket the best meal kit for vegetarians in our testing.

Sunbasket is an organic meal service that offers a vegetarian option in addition to its original lineup. When we tested Sunbasket, we found it had high-quality ingredients for all the dishes it offers, flavorful vegetables, and sufficient protein. With Sunbasket, you can also skip weeks and adjust delivery frequency, which can be handy if you go on vacation or have a dinner party planned. We found that the portions are on the smaller side, so you won't be able to make one meal into two with leftovers.   Try Sunbasket

We loved HelloFresh for its flavorful recipes.

HelloFresh is one of the best meal kits we've ever tried. Its meals are extremely customizable, and that includes only having vegetarian meals delivered to you. You can have up to six recipes per week, including dishes like black bean and charred corn burrito bowls, creamy mushroom cavatappi, and cheese tortellini. Some of the recipes include meat alternatives, and almost all of them make protein a focus. However, when we reviewed HelloFresh, we found the website could be difficult to navigate and vegan options were limited–but the food is fantastic.   Try HelloFresh

EveryPlate makes a great budget-friendly meal kit.

If you're concerned about cost, we found EveryPlate to be a great option for those who are budget-focused. Meals are priced as low as $4.99 per serving or $11.99 for two people. When we tested, we thought EveryPlate was a great option for vegetarians. EveryPlate has a number of vegetarian options to select from each week, including veggie-heavy flatbreads, pastas, bowls, and more. Try EveryPlate

Hungryroot is part meal kit delivery, part online grocery store.

Hungryroot focuses on designing a meal plan to specific tastes, including vegetarian. They have a number of vegetarian options, but experienced cooks might find their meals a little too easy to make. However, if you're looking for quick, easy dinners and less interested in being challenged in the kitchen, Hungryroot hits the spot. Its website is also easy to navigate and allows you to look at the recipes and ingredients even before committing to a plan.   Try Hungryroot

Factor makes a great pre-made meal kit option for vegetarians.

Factor has 29+ dietitian-designed meals each week specifically for vegetarians. However, this meal service is different than the others on our list in that there is no prep needed–all you need to do is throw the package into the microwave and eat. You can skip deliveries each week and have a flexible schedule with your plan. Ingredients are high-quality, and reviews noted that their customization and customer service was top notch. If you're looking for an option with no cooking or clean-up, Factor might be for you.   Try Factor

Blue Apron has a robust vegetarian menu to choose from.

The original meal kit that got it all started, Blue Apron is also a fantastic vegetarian meal kit with a plethora of options. The serving sizes can be on the smaller end, and we found that sometimes seasonings were unbalanced. On the plus side, Blue Apron's packaging includes drain-safe refrigerant gel packs, and recycled films and packaging–for everything else, it has a plan to make its packaging 100% recyclable, reusable, or compostable by 2025. Try Blue Apron

Green Chef is committed to ethically sourced ingredients in every meal kit.

Green Chef made our editor's choice pick when we reviewed meal kits. The service is committed to ethically sourced ingredients and a variety of dietary-focused meals. And different than any meal kit on the list: Its ingredients come pre-prepped and took only 30 minutes to make! The prices are on the higher end, but that gets you high-quality ingredients. You can choose from eight meals on the menu each week with Green Chef. Try Green Chef

The Gobble meals kits are comprised of creative and quick recipes.

We found Gobble to have creative recipes, high-quality ingredients, and meals that were quick to make. Really: The recipes we made took 15 minutes or less and our tester found the whole experience enjoyable in taste, sight, and preparation. Gobble's meal cards have a ton of information including calorie info, ingredients, and background information about the dish. Its packaging is also entirely recyclable and veggies come prepared for you---making the cooking experience that much easier. Try Gobble
