This London Fog raincoat is the best panic purchase I have ever made

Women's London Fog Hooded front zip raincoat, $84, promo code GOSHOP20 at Kohls

Recently, I made a big mistake while traveling to Nashville. No, I was not arrested for being too noisy on Broadway-I didn't bring a good raincoat. I have never been to Tennessee before, so when I saw that rain was predicted for the entire trip, I was not sure what would happen. Was it like Florida, where it rained for a few minutes and then stopped? Or is it like New Jersey, where it rains heavily for 10 minutes and then drizzles intermittently for the rest of the day? I should probably check, because neither: It rained almost all the time I was there for the four days. I think "monsoon" is an accurate description, but it may be dramatic. I grabbed a windbreaker before taking off, hoping it would be rainproof enough. no. It's like I'm wearing a paper jacket. The downpour washed away my windbreaker. I was soaked from head to toe. My underwear is not even safe. Once we realized that the rain would not stop, we began to panic looking for umbrellas and raincoats. My friend and I couldn't find raincoats anywhere in the city, we could only find sweatshirts for $100 in boutiques. As far as outerwear is concerned, even Urban Outfitters has found nothing. We managed to find some quality umbrellas in Walgreens in the panic, but we eventually needed to venture out of town to nearby Kohl's to find any raincoats provided.

That's where I found this London fog raincoat. Kohl's has some Columbia jackets and Zero XPosure raincoats, but this London Fog jacket stands out. Probably because the price is $105, and I have never spent so much money on a jacket that is only suitable for rain. It is thicker and stronger than other raincoats available. I also have a 30% Kohl's coupon.

I was talking to myself in panic, London is rainy, so they must understand the raincoat over there. (I hardly knew that London Fog was actually located in the United States and did not start selling in the United Kingdom until the late 1990s.)

Nevertheless, it turns out that this is a very high-quality raincoat. During my stay in Nashville, the rain never stopped, but thanks to this jacket, I no longer have to deal with wet pants and underwear. It has a waterproof shell, long sleeves, front snaps and zips, and a detachable hood. The hood even has a drawstring, so you can tie it tightly to your face to prevent rain from entering.

As a newbie to the raincoat game, the waterproof case looks basically waterproof because the water just slides off the jacket. Once I entered the room, the London Fog jacket also dried very quickly, unlike the windbreaker I discarded now, it was still soaked for several hours after I entered the room.

These coats kept my friends and I dry very well, and we hardly even used the $15 umbrella we bought before. These coats are enough to cope with a big storm. Since we have worn the jackets for three days in a row, I want to say that they are very worthwhile. I go back to New Jersey, where it rains every week, so in the next few seasons, I will make more use of this jacket.
