Police are looking for suspected robbery at Sunoco gas station

Update: At 12:20 am on December 11, 2021, the authorities are looking for a suspect in a robbery at the A&M Rome Sunoco gas station located at 4644 Rome-Taberg Road / Route 69 in Lee.

The location was formerly known as the New England Style Market.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol, they protected the store when they arrived around 8:30pm on Friday, December 10, 2021. OCSO's criminal investigation department and forensic department confirmed that a robbery had occurred.

The suspect is a black woman, about 5 feet tall, wearing winter clothes and a mask. Sheriff Maciol said that she allegedly “showed what appeared to be a pistol when asking for cash from a shop assistant”. Then, she fled the shop on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, seeming to be going to Rome.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery in the New England style market in Lee Town tonight.

According to reports, the robbery occurred on Route 69 at No. 4644 at approximately 8:29 pm.

The investigation is ongoing. No other information is currently available.
