Jefferson Street Farmers Market is 4:30-7 p.m. in downtown Burlington. 

Moose Lodge 579, 2529 Mount Pleasant St., bingo, doors open at 4 p.m., early bird is 6:20 p.m., and regular games are at 7 p.m. Yolanda’s food will be available with carryout, too. 

Jamey Darnold plays at 6 p.m. at The Drake, 106 Washington St. 

Louisa County Fair in Columbus Junction will have stock car races at 7 p.m. followed by fireworks. Saturday night will feature the demolition derby at 7 p.m.

Moose Lodge 579, 2529 Mount Pleasant St., will serve brisket, baked beans, and potato salad, from 5-7 p.m. Hitman will play from 7:30-10:30 p.m.

Art Klein Memorial Golf Tournament for Elks scholarship opens at 7 a.m. The shotgun start is 8 a.m., at Flint Hills Golf Course. Awards and a light lunch will follow at the Elks Lodge, 215 N. Fifth St. To learn more, call the lodge at (319) 753-5281. 

Christmas in July at the Campground is 6 p.m. at Pollmiller Park in West Point. Campers are encouraged to deck out their campsites with Christmas lights and decor, and free paddle on kayaks, canoes, paddle boats and the hydro bike from 6-8:30 p.m. Visit Christmas in July at the Campground! on Facebook. 

Des Moines County Fair vendor blender and fun day event "It's a Street Fair" is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the fairgrounds, with children's games, a pet show, food trucks, a 4-H fashion show, and more. 

Henry County Heritage Trust presents “Iowa Civil War Images” by Michael Huston at 2 p.m. at the museum at 403 W. Madison in Mount Pleasant. Refreshments will be served. 

Heritage Trust Preservation Station, 213 Valley St., is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, selling unique vintage decorative items and historic building materials. 

"Hunchback of Notre Dame The Musical" presented by students from UNI, SCC, Danville, Notre Dame, West Burington, Illini West, Mount Pleasant, Great River Christian, and select members of Bel Canto Chorale is 7 p.m. at the Capitol Theater, 211 N. Third St. Door admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. 

Local favorites Eric Pettit Lion and the fun, funky dance vibes of Delaware-based Earth Radio will be presented at 7 p.m. at The Washington, 306 Washington St., Moon and Stars Stage. Tickets are $10 and are available online at Eventbrite.com.

Scout Night with the Bees. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Game is at 6:30 p.m. Wear your scout uniform and get in free. Scouts can purchase a ball for $5 that players can sign. The event features a Parade of Scouts, fireworks and optional overnight camping on the field, weather permitting. So You Think You Can Cook? Mount Pleasant's local chef competition is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at 111 W. Monroe St. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children and include sampling. 

Burlington Municipal Band's free concert is 7:30 p.m. at the Crapo Park band shell. Arnie Anderson conducts. 

Henry County Democrats will host an ice cream social to include several of the Iowa Democratic Candidates for office at 1 p.m. in Mount Pleasant's Central Park. 

Homemade Ice Cream Social is 3-6 p.m. at the Wever Odd Fellows Lodge, 1696 U.S. 61, also serving maid rites, hot dogs, pies, cakes, and drinks.

Mother Moon Yoga, donation-based, is at 9 a.m. at Lake Geode beach. All proceeds benefit Friends of Geode. 

Players Workshop open auditions for the musical "Mamma Mia!" are at 7 p.m. July 31 and Aug. 2 at the Workshop, 1431 Grove St., seeking ages 15-70 to fill 13 principal roles (6 female and 7 male), and a mixed ensemble of 12 or more people. Tryouts will include readings, songs, and choreography from the play, all provided.
